Big-picture team-building exercises begin with individuals joining small teams. Teams collect brushes, paints, charts outlining individual canvases, and blank canvases. Then, as a team, mix the paints to get the right colours and paint on the canvas. As soon as the exercise begins, the team realizes they need to work with other teams to pull off the overall work of art. Once complete, the culmination of The Big Picture is the final unveiling ceremony. After debriefing, all participants see their masterpieces for the first time, always too loud cheers and thunderous applause.
