In Orchestrate, a group of people with no musical ability learn to play like a real symphony orchestra in just 90 minutes. Participants learn to play real instruments, including strings, woodblocks, brass, and percussion. Once the instruments are selected, they will work in separate sections under the guidance of professional musicians. When mastered, they join together like a mighty symphony orchestra under the direction of a conductor to play a five-minute piece of music written specifically. The effect is electrification. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Orchestrate! Undoubtedly one of our toughest and most challenging events, it pulls people beyond their cognitive limits. You will have to work hard, concentrate fully and work as a team. But, as tough as this challenge is, the reward is an experience never to be forgotten. The symphony orchestra is one of the best examples of a group working as one. Players need to listen to each other emotionally and creatively, and people performing different tasks need to work together toward a common goal.
