Rags to Riches is a feel-good team-building activity that provides an engaging platform for participants to give back while recycling unwanted items. After identifying a national charity or community project that would benefit from your event, we can help organize the collection of clothing and other recyclable items from representatives.
The team tackles dynamic networking and communication challenges in the session, using all donated items to recreate a giant version of the logo on a pre-determined marked area. Since everyone celebrates collective creativity, there is the ideal photo shoot at the end. We will then arrange delivery of all merchandise to a charity of your choice.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Success at Rags to Riches requires individual accountability for how each participant's role affects the overall vision. From an organizational perspective, this fun exercise helps break down silos and reinforce the value of collaboration. From a behavioural perspective, Rags to Riches can be positioned to reinforce business metaphors that emphasize how small changes in individual habits can have large cumulative effects. During the program, participants will be reminded of the apparel industry's impact on the environment. This a reminder of how much water it takes to make a cotton shirt, and most importantly, 95% of the fabric is recyclable!
